Space-Gard®
HIGH EFFICIENCY AIR CLEANER

It's a fact the trapped air we breathe in our homes can be loaded with dust, pollen, spores and other pollutant particles. In many cases, it's worse than the air outside. Especially if you are one of the more than 40 million allergy sufferers in North America. Combine that with the fact that we spend 90% of our time inside and indoor air quality becomes a major concern.

Although most pollutant particles are so small that you can't see them, many are annoying or even harmful to you and your family, and potentially damaging to your furnace, air conditioner and related equipment. The standard throwaway filter in your furnace traps only about 15% of the pollutant particles in your home's air. The rest circulate throughout your home.
Standard throwaway furnace filters permit dirt and dust to collect on sensitive heating and cooling equipment, decreasing efficiency by as much as 10-25%. Space-Gard's tight seal and high efficiency air cleaning protects blowers, coils and other operating equipment from dust and dirt, increasing efficiency and service life.

Ragweed Pollen Magnified 1,500 Times

Installed in your heating/cooling duct system, central air cleaners with sophisticated filtering capabilities have become the accepted way to improve indoor air quality. And the Space-Gard high efficiency air cleaner has proven to be the perfect, practical solution for whole house use. Absolutely silent operation, minimal maintenance and 99% efficiency on pollen and spores, has made Space-Gard the clean air choice throughout North America.

In addition to providing protection for your heating and cooling equipment, Space-Gard provides your family with clean air throughout your home. A pollutant-trapping, equipment-protecting Space-Gard central air cleaner will turn your furnace and air conditioner into a clean air system.

In fact, your home's furnishings will last longer. Carpeting and upholstered furniture will stay cleaner and last longer; draperies will need cleaning less often and last longer; walls will stay cleaner, too, and require less frequent painting, cleaning and papering. And all this means less work for you. Space-Gard is an essential part of a total indoor air comfort system.

How Does an Electrostatic Filter Work?

The average person breathes about two gallons of air per minute. This air contains particles that act as carriers for viruses, bacteria, and harmful pollutants.
As air passes through the LifeTime Filter it produces friction that creates a natural static charge (electrostatic charge) between the honeycomb pattern of polypropylene and the bonded polyester fiber in the filter. The static charge attracts minute particles to the filter like a magnet. These particles consist of irritants such as dust, dust mites, pollen, fabric lint, tobacco smoke, plant spores, and animal hair.

Important Note - Proper cleaning of the LifeTime Filter is vital to its performance.

Inspect your LifeTime Filter every 30 to 45 days and clean as follows:

1.Remove filter. 2.Attach nozzle to hose then turn on water to full pressure. 3.Back wash from the clean side of the filter first with a tight, direct stream of water for two or three minutes. Do not spray the dirty side first. 4.Then spray the front (dirty) side for two or three minutes as needed to clean the filter thoroughly. 5.With the drain holes at the bottom side of the filter, allow the water to drain 15 to 30 minutes or until drip free. 6.Reinstall the filter and enjoy another month of Clean Air!

If desired, a mild detergent, such as dishwashing liquid, may be used when cleaning the filter. Always rinse thoroughly.
